Call for Dancers - Fall 2019

Corps Bara is seeking professional contemporary dancers for a short-term contract this fall with the opportunity to renew. Dancers will be chosen based on movement aesthetic, availability, and openness to our spiritually-infused working process. Selected candidates will be invited to participate with choreographer Deanna Witwer in a research/creation workshop with contracts confirmed afterwards.

Corps Bara will be Artists-in-Residence at Ambrose University for the 2019/20 season, participating in a collaboration with the Ambrose Orchestra. This contract will be a research platform for a first performance iteration of an eventual full-length work. The process will include work-in-progress showings, outside eye feedback from artists of diverse backgrounds and participation in a lecture-demonstration with students.

Commitment:

  • Paid rehearsals once per week from September to November 8th.
